It's hard to communicate if the product works or not even if there is a held one close to the subject. Also, you guys might find it idiotic to believe those reaction videos because they are suspetious to whole another level, but intentionally, viciously giving hopes to people in trouble messes up with the logic real bad. It's that users can be easily suppressed just by saying "it's by design" or "it sure is working. I had the same experience with Enchroma glasses are terrible

I have whatever kind of colorblindness it is that makes it hard for me to distinguish between desaturated shades of green. Darker shades look grayish and pale shades look beige. I see most colors perfectly fine and even moderately saturated green looks vivid. I'm not missing out on much, I just can never pass that one particular colorblindness test. But I had a friend who kept saying I should get some of these glasses. She seemed convinced that I was walking around seeing everything in pure monochrome. She'd show me these videos of people tearing up in shock at the beautiful colorful world suddenly revealed to them, and be like "You don't know what you're missing!" I kept saying, "These people must have a very different kind of colorblindness than me, the world looks very colorful, I just can't see really pale green very well." She eventually stopped bringing it up, but I don't have the heart to show her this video. She really meant well.

You should try dealing with USPS they are the worst with the last step I've actually delivering the package will constantly say we tried no one was home when family was outside they'll say delivered and then two days later they'll say it's expected to be delivered today and so on For the postal service that I've dealt with within the US they are the worst

I have a color blindness don't know exactly what level never actually got tested other than looking through those books that have the numbers in different colors I know I can't tell the difference between the red and yellow traffic lights as well as I tend to mix up blue and purple more specifically a lighter purple I'll see as blue or darker blue as purple my uncle got me as a present one of those glasses never really saw a difference it just felt weird wearing them as everything had a reddish tinge to it I never really wore them after that

I'm a colorblind person who was gifted a set of these a few years ago. For me, they really do make a significant difference. Colors look much bolder, particularly reds. I enjoy looking at art and taking photos. I can see more detail in the colors, for lack of a better description. Maybe it doesn't work for everyone, but i wear them pretty much everyday. Even if it's not technically a cure, it makes things look much better for me. I've been asked what color things were since I was a kid, and sometimes I could not tell. Enchroma helped me with that. In sum, while I appreciate your valid criticisms, I am glad these glasses were made. I enjoy what I see with them more than what I see without them.

While watching this i was reminded of researching how cephelopods(octopus/squid/cuttlefish) "see color". Biologically they dont see color in the same way we do, with the specific color cones and all that jazz. Some engineer started studying the shape of the eyes of these creatures and believe they dont see color, but perceave it through something called "chromatic abrasion ". Just something you or others might find interesting to look into. Wont give the colorblind a way to see color, but, just think its interesting.

Well made, this production. I was thinking that these glasses might work if you have two different glasses, i.e. two different filters. If you're missing one type of the three cone cells (S, M, L). The rod cells are also sensitive to a specific range. If you separate the two eyes in what they do with the missing color, I am wondering if you can see more colors when your brain puts them together.

Then how do you explain the hundreds of videos of people successfully wearing these glasses who do not work for Enchroma?

The thing is that these glasses dont change your eye receptors. They change the color that hits your eye, but you are not colorblind because your eyes have never come across a certain color. You are colorblind because your eye cant "process" that certain color. For instance you cant process blue, changing the blue to a red wont make you see blue, but it'll make you see red + everything else will be red too 🤷🏻‍♂️

You should really check out their patent. It was way too long and complicated for me to understand, but I’m sure it would help further incriminate them.

So these address labels can't be read by a machine with human operators providing backup? If this is the true state of image recognition we are a very long way away from an AI-controlled world.

To be honest, going back to your issues with color coding; the whole premise of color coding is to match the colors on screen to how you see in real life. So even if one were colorblind, it wouldn't be that difficult for that particular someone to color grade footage in a way that matches as closely to how he sees colors in real life as possible. Can pretty much guarantee that you'd avoid much of the "redding" issues far more often this way.

I see many comments where people can see the difference between colors better, even if they're not accurate. The whole point of color vision correction is to do just that -- help a color vision deficient person discern them better. No two people see colors alike. So it sounds like they work to some degree provided you don't have monochromatic vision (seeing the world in black & white). With that said, I also have had this issue and do color grading on video footage. Any tips on how to get around this besides memorizing RGB values and how RGB parades and vectorscopes are supposed to look?

The real tragedy isn’t the shady company, it’s the fact that the NIH decided to shell out 1mil plus without doing a proper review. Actual clowns. I did not know I was color blind until in my 20s I failed the color test for my pilot licence. With bright colors I am fine. Dim reds and greens look the same gray. I got a waiver by identifying the light gun colors at an airport. I have watched the reaction videos and judged them as staged performances. Ophthalmologist tells me the glasses are a waste of money.
